Unabridged of abridged?

I’m buying the audio book Great Expectations off iTunes but I don’t know which one to get. And I don’t know what the difference is between abridged and unabridged. I have to read it for school so I want to get the right one.

I meant ‘Unabridged or abridged?’

Don’t ever get abridged. Unabridged is the entire book and that way you’re sure you don’t miss anything

Unabridged is the full version. The abridged version is shorter.

Definitely get unabridged, it is the whole book.
abridged cuts some parts out, so you don’t want to be the only one in class who didn’t get to read that part!

Unabridged means the original version, as written by the author, and not cut. Abridged versions have parts cut off. Not important parts, just lengthy descriptions. They also reword the text to make it easier to read. It depends what your scool expects you to do with the book.
