Unabridged is the complete original, uncut. A lot of audiobooks cover the main points of the book. If you want the entire book, be sure it says unabridged.

Abridged means condensed version (edited to be shorter), so unabridged would conversely mean a full (unedited) version.

"Abridged" means edited down to make it shorter. You would be missing half of it. "Unabridged" would be the full text.

unabridged generally means its not shortened.
