I just started ripping all my audio books from cd’s and uploading them to my iPod and it would be so much easier to keep track and organize the digital copier if the multiple tracks could be combined into one mp3 file. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?
They aren’t divided by chapter right now and I can correct any mistakes that may appear, I just need a viable solution XD

You can’t combine the actual files without creating lots of problems when you play them, such as bookmarking, and chapter breaks would be nonexistent. You can create sub-folders within the folder to help you keep the files organized but keeping the files organized isn’t the big issue. In whatever media manager software you’ll play them, create playlists and organize them there.

Never, in 50 trillion years, would I even consider asking this. But I listened to unChristian by David Kinnamon, who is a Christian btw, and disagreed with 90% of it. But I discovered that I could "poke holes" in his views, and thought it was time for me to listen to a cheap audio book by someone I know disagrees with me. I was thinking about Dawkins God Delusion or something by Bart Erhman. But I don’t know. Also, I keep hearing about someone called Sam Harris – does anyone know who he is? My criteria is it cannot be a new book (old ones are cheaper!) and if can’t be dry – interjecting humor would be nice (how many Christians does it take to change a light bulb). Thought provoking questions (and answers) and bringing up why they don’t believe, would be nice as well.
When I said "non-believers of all faiths" I meant people who were Christian at one time but turned their back on Jesus and became non-believers. The atheists understood what I meant, why didn’t the Christians? You are just re-enforcing what David Kinnamon said. But I don’t look at the followers of Christianity. I look at the founder. I also bet that most pastors have read at least some books by the authors mentioned.

To be honest, I don’t know what I’m looking for, but I’ll know it when I find it. That’s why my new mantra (yes, I know that’s a Hindu word) is "the faith that cannot be shaken, has been shaken."

Sam Harris – Letter to a Christian Nation

It’s a long letter, but a very short book.

Sam Harris is a neuroscientist, an outspoken non-believer and a VERY good writer

Carl Sagan is amazing too ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wupToqz1e2g )

Christians, (or people of any faith i guess) Have you read the book "The God Delusion"? And if so, has it shaken your faith? How has it affected you?

The God Delusion is a 2006 bestselling[1] non-fiction book by British biologist Richard Dawkins, professorial fellow of New College, Oxford,[2][3] and inaugural holder of the Charles Simonyi Chair for the Public Understanding of Science at the University of Oxford.

In The God Delusion, Dawkins contends that a supernatural creator almost certainly does not exist and that belief in a personal god qualifies as a delusion, which he defines as a persistent false belief held in the face of strong contradictory evidence. He is sympathetic to Robert Pirsig’s observation in Lila that "when one person suffers from a delusion it is called insanity. When many people suffer from a delusion it is called religion."
My motives for posting this question have been questioned. Instead of replying to individuals, let me just explain why i asked this. I am 34. Stricly catholic family and area (southwest louisiana cajun). Attended catholic school until i begain college, and was an alter boy. I have read, not just the bible, but many other pro-christian books, as well as TGD and other books by Dawson and other like minded individuals. I believe you can NEVER understand the truth of anything unless you study BOTH sides of an arguement, because therein lies the truth. Hidden in between the lines. I will not state my beliefs, I just wondered how many christians wont even consider studying both sides in order to make up their own minds. Some of you said you read dawkins and threw it in the trash. GOOD FOR YOU! You are a reasonible person who considered the evidence and made up your own mind. For those who fear reading it, dont be a sheep. Study both sides of a debate before commming to a conclusion.

most religious people won’t even read it. i was told not to when i was religious, don’t even look into things that could destroy your faith, that’s what you are told. then the religions wonder why so many people belong to OTHER faiths and don’t believe theirs.
@JEWS – what exactly are you trying to prove. all that points out that Dawkins is reasonable and looks at several sides of the arguments.

I want to buy the audiobook for "Official Book Club Selection: A Memoir According to Kathy Griffin", but it’s abridged. Unfortunately, there is no unabridged audio version of this book available. I really want to listen to the book while I’m driving back to school, but I don’t want to listen to an abridged version if it leaves out a lot of content from the original version. I would rather wait and read it this summer if the audio version is excessively watered down. Does anybody know how different the audiobook is from the original?
This is a response to the first person who answered this question: the author is the narrator of the audiobook so I don’t think she has a problem with taking out some things.

I would never listen to an abridged version of anything. It just seems like an insult to the author.

Just got into the world of audio books but not sure is best to download( for ipod) "unabridge" books or books that have nothing next to them as there’s a price difference.

Unabridged is the complete original, uncut.

A lot of audiobooks cover the main points of the book. If you want the entire book, be sure it says unabridged.

I’m using a PC right now, windows vista, which i hate! I’m looking into buying a new macbook, and i want to make sure my camera will be compatible. On my PC, i can’t make videos using windows movie maker, because the audio doesn’t work. I read the books, researched it, changed settings, and asked questions here on yahoo about it, but it still doesn’t work. I have looked on Youtube to see if anyone has made videos with a Nikon P100, and all the videos are done on a mac.

I’ve always had macs, but my house was broken into, and they stole my macbook pro, so my brother had an extra pc, and gave it to me. So I am experienced using macs, and i have made many videos using imovie. But i’ve bought a new camera, and have never used it on a mac, and i want to make sure it will work.

So, if anyone has a mac and a nikon p100 and they make video, does it work well?
how do nikon cameras and imovie do together?

Thanks so much for the help!
I’ve been so frustrated the last couple of months trying to figure this out, so any help at all is appreciated greatly!

well, you can get the satisfied answer according to Nikon P100 digital camera specs, just make clear the formats that Nikon compatible with, while imovie supports mpeg-4.

the point is that you need one video converter that convert Nikon format to the mpeg-4 that imovie happy to edit, it seems the issues clear, now go get the powerful iorgsoft mpeg-4 video converter, i believe it can solve the problem effectively!

Get it as the following link and see the step by step guide carefully. it is worthwhile a successful experience!

About Us
People around the globe know Pastor Benny Hinn as a noted evangelist, teacher, and the author of best-selling books including Prayer That Gets Results, Lamb of God, and Good Morning, Holy Spirit. His TV program This Is Your Day! is among the world’s most-watched Christian programs, seen daily in 200 countries.

But there is much more to the story of the man and ministry now impacting the world with the life-saving and miracle-working message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Beginnings
Benny Hinn was born on December 3, 1952, in the port city of Jaffa (part of modern Tel Aviv), Israel, where his family had set up residence as immigrants to Palestine from Greece. In 1968, not long after the Six-Day War, he immigrated with his family to Canada.

In February 1972 Benny Hinn’s life took on an entirely new meaning when he surrendered his heart and life to Jesus Christ as high school friends prayed with him. Soon afterward, he was called to minister the Gospel.

Benny Hinn is the proud parent of three daughters and a son and grandfather to two grandsons.

The ministry-owned television studio is located in Alison Viejo, California. The corporate headquarters for Benny Hinn Ministries / World Healing Center Church is located in Grapevine, Texas.

Benny Hinn: Over 30 Years as Statesman, Author, Broadcaster, Bridge Builder, and Evangelist
In worldwide ministry more than 30 years, Pastor Benny Hinn has preached the Gospel face to face and through television to more than a billion people. Through Holy Spirit Miracle Crusades, Training for Ministry Conferences, TV broadcasts, the Internet, printed page, and audio-video recordings, this evangelist’s straightforward and uncompromising message of God’s love has inspired hundreds of millions to a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Pastor Benny’s ministry is also engaged in crisis relief, children’s homes, and feeding programs, as well as hospital and emergency care. During the past year alone, not only did his ministry help provide food, clothing, shelter, education, and religious training for 46,368 children around the globe (including partnerships with 31 different missionary and relief agencies), but it also continues to underwrite the free care expenses of such powerful outreaches as a hospital in Calcutta, India, where over 200,000 patients are treated annually, and My Father’s House children’s homes in Mexico and the Philippines.

Taking the Saving and Healing Power of Jesus Christ to the World
Today, Pastor Benny continues to take the message of God’s saving and healing power to the world. Millions attend his Holy Spirit Miracle Crusades each year. Memorable crusades have included audiences up to 7.3 million (in three services) in India, the largest healing service in recorded history. During recent years, he has been welcomed during his travels by kings, prime ministers, and heads of state, yet his message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ continues to be fervent, motivating him to “go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15).

After more than 30 years in ministry as statesman, author, broadcaster, bridge builder, and evangelist, Pastor Benny Hinn remains committed, more than ever, to preaching the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ, teaching the unchanging Word of God, and expecting the mighty and miraculous power of the Holy Spirit!

Hinn married the former Suzanne Harthern on 4 August 1979. Harthern filed papers in Orange County (CA) Superior Court on 1 February 2010 seeking a divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences". The couple have four children together.
