Best Audio Books

I know of audiobooks.co.uk but think they only deliver cds. Not sure if itunes do it, anyone know any sites? Free or paid.

Here’s a few you could look at. The first has the same name as the one you mention, but is .com instead of co.uk and they do have mediums other than CDs.

If you’re looking for material still under copyright (ruling out sites like Librivox) — try your library. Mine offers audiobook downloads to patrons.

If you want to study, you don’t have to limit yourself to books. There are quite a few lecture-based podcasts out there. iTunes has quite a few and UC Berkeley offers many of their courses as web- or podcasts: http://webcast.berkeley.edu/courses.php

too many jerks on this site… downloading audiobooks is not illegal. Project Gutenberg has many public domain ones available for download: gutenberg.org, half way down the page. They are a non-profit organization. Also a great website to read many classic ebooks, thousands of them! For paid downloads, audible.com has pretty decent prices.

I REALLY need to get a book for my English class, which I just remembered that I need to have read by Monday (oops) and if I want to get through it I really need to have it on my Ipod!! The Library is closed for the weekend, and there will be other books anyway. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I have no idea about book downloads… I just wanted to give you credit for doing your own homework. I see so many questions on here asking for "brief summary of (insert book name here)" or similarly worded questions. It’s refreshing to see a kid trying for once!

The person who recommended bittorrent neglected to inform you that it is illegal to get books that way.

You cannot get audiobooks for free legally.
Here’s a couple options: Check out your local library, they probably have an audiobook section. OR see if your library is subscribed to an internet audiobook site. My library is a member of a site that allows anyone with a library card to sign in and get audiobooks.

Sorry but R. L. Stine writes books to make a living. He is not giving away his books for free.

If you want the audio books, you need to buy them or check them out of the public library.

I go for walks a lot and it would be fun to do it while listening to a novel.

I use bit torrent. It can be a little complicated to use but it is the best site that i have found for books. I love reading and in the car i listen to books all the time. I you need some help with getting bit torrent to work you can e mail me if you wish.

Is there a website where I can download e-books or audio books for nothing or just a small fee? I want a website that has a great variety to choose from, especially new books.
