I downloaded an audio book via iTunes for my iPod. When I play it on my iPod, I am able to scroll from track to track no problem, but can’t do that on iTunes on my mac. The funny thing is, at the top on the display it does actually say what chapter is currently playing, while not displaying a track list and when I press the track forward button it simply stops.

Anyway of adjusting it some how?

Why dont you try a new music player with extended fuctionality

Does anyone know where I can buy/download audio books in French such as Eragon, Twilight, The Chronicles of Narnia, books like that? Not language learning audio, but actual books. All I can find are classics, but I’d rather have something more modern.

*jdfghszj…
Perhaps you did not understand me. I’m looking for books, not sports wear.

here is a list of Canadian podcast some are in French (Tell me if you see any Sci-fi ones)

I have some audio books I’ve purchased on cd. Can these be downloaded to my ipod?

downloaded isnt realy the right word…i think transfer sounds more right lol im not sure though …but yes thats realy easy…in fact if you put the cd into your computer itunes will do it pretty automaticaly.

place the cd into the disk drive.
a menu will come up asking you what you want o do with it.
choose "transfer using itunes"
it will now just work!
when its done just synch them onto your ipod as you always would!

I don’t want a free or sharing site. I just want a good dependable website that does not have crazy membership fees.

Well, what’s a "crazy membership fee" for you? Is $30 a month too much, for example?

www.audible.com has pretty reasonable rates, from what I recall. Librivox.org offers a number of free, reasonably high-quality audio books, made by volunteers.

Hope this helps!

I mean audio books of good quality like those of old classics.

your library has them to rent. Why don’t you check them out. It’s free.

Apple has discontinued the mini ipods, and it’s hard to find tips for them either. Can you buy/download audio books to put on your mini, or are those just for the ipods and nanos?

yes you can but it will take up a lot of memory

good luck

Some could be found on p2p programs such as Limewire and KaZaA, but you’ll probably find more on bitTorrent sites (ie. mininova.org, torrentbox.com, torrentportal.com, demonoid.com).

I have a 20 G IPOD and would like to download books onto it. What is the easiest way to do so and where are the best sites for free downloads?

well my friend this in an easy question to answer if you go to www.bittorrent.com you can download a very small program called bittorrent which allows you to download torrents which are files from the internet after you download it go to bittorrent.com or search for other torrent searches and then just type in the name of your audio book and see what it brings up and then all you have to do is download it. I would highly recomend that u search yahoo or something for Bittorrent ABC which is a bittorrent client that has a much better interface and is easier to use. I hope i have helped you.

I am interested in downloading books either to buy or rent to my ipod. Mainly interested in self-help, business, success-type non-fiction, or inspirational fiction. Does anyone suscribe to any, what ones, what is the best cost? I would probably listen to 1-3 per week or so… Any suggestions would be great! Thanks.

It’s very possible that your local library has a connection to a website that has many titles to download free and burn to cd or load onto an iPod.
Ask your librarian. From your home computer you can go to the website, enter your library card number and then enter the code number for your particular town library that you got from your librarian and download books for free. It’s all legal.
Check it out.
