Will Audio books affect my hearing on the long run?

I listen to Audio books daily in bed before going to sleep.
I was wondering if that will effect my hearing on the long run.

I set the volume to 3 or 4 out of 22 on my creative Zen, so the volume is very low.

I use regular headphones, not earbuds.

Good do not use earbuds because the intensity will be higher compared to headphones.Just make sure you do not turn up the volume too high.1/2 is the max volume , which means 11.To do that you need an ear break too. However, in your case its alright. The Key is Low Volume, Headphones and regular interval breaks.

Hope that Helps.

I wouldn’t think so, but try not to overdo it and when you can maybe listen to the audio books in a cd player positioned close to your bed.

You may want to buy a clock radio that has a audio auxiliary jack. In short term I would worry about cords and choking myself.
    I am a podiobooks.com junkie.
