I live in India and I find most of the websites are international. I want to pay in Rupees and don’t want to bother about exchange rates. Where can I find Indian websites which allow me to pay in INR? I want to download audio books like Harry Potter.

The rule for downloading old games for emulators is if you own the game and the system it is perfectly legal to have them. Does the same rule apply to audio books where if you have got the book (e.g paperback or hardback) can you then download for free the audio books.
No, it isn’t legal to download a free audio book of a book that is still copyrighted, even if you do own the book.
It is legal to download books that are no longer copyrighted (the copyright has expired) though.

An abridged version of a book is a shortened version of the original book and usually cuts out some of the (arguably) non-essential text while keeping the main parts of the story intact.
An unabridged version gives you the complete version.

My local library is worthless in trying to check anything out and the used books stores are the same. I looked online but I am not willing to pay 50 bucks for a book. Any suggestions? I also don’t want to have to become a member to anything or rent the cd’s.
