I can’t find a copy of A Clockwork Orange at my library and i don’t have any money to buy it off the internet. Is there any where where i can download a zipper file for the whole audio book for free without downloading any more uneccessary programs?

oh i dont want to download it or buy it (: thx

Youtube will get you the audio books, but you’d have to sit next to your computer to listen. Try looking online at your local library site and see if they have it on tape, I know mine did!

Hope I helped!

On Itunes, my audio books are separate, they only appear in the audio book section, not in music but on my Ipod they are in both sections (audio books & songs).
They never appear in shuffle (good thing!), but I’d like to know if there’s any way to make them not appear in the "songs" list of the Ipod.

Many thanks.
To scatwoman : thanks for your answer, but it’s already set on audiobook…

Right click on an audiobook file and select get info , slect options tab and set the file to audiobook

I love to listen to audio books and wonder if the Nook is capable of downloading audio books & music? Thanks in advance!

The Nook allow you to listen to music. But if you like to listen to audio books I’ll suggest you the Kindle because it has the text-to-speech function, which means the ebooks you bought it can read to you. The Kindle can play music at background as well, when you’re reading books.

I’ve given a detailed comparison between the Nook and the Kindle previously, in another answer here. Guess it’ll help you decide which one to choose:

And recently, Amazon has announced an upgrade to its Kindle, to secure their market shares. See here for the update details:

hello, i am seeking either abridged or unabridged audio books particular titles please that are not over ‘pg-13 ‘ in other words. no steamy, sexy or numerous swear words too. i am driving cross country with my annoyingly conservative & prude birth mother and i think audio books would be a swell idea and ideal ice breaker since my mother and i have very little in common. if only i could find audio books that we both could possibly like listening to, are there any you can think of ? to help give you an idea of my taste in books as well as my mother’s which most likely will help in recommending titles of certain audio books to me I’ll first list my favorite authors and than hers:

my favorite authors: Arundhati Roy, Jeanette Walls ,Conrad Aiken, Virginia Wolfe ,Zora Neal Hurston & J.D.Salinger

:Amy Tan, Azar Nafisi, Azadeh Moaveni, Carey Goldberg, Neil LaBute, Moss Hart & Tennessee Williams
in advance, thank you very much to all who provide helpful, caring and practical answers!

Have you checked with you local public library? The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County has what seems to be thousands of titles. I understand that it doesn’t help you, but your local or county library may be able to help you, even if they do not have them in their collection. There may be something available through inter-library loan. All you can do is ask. The worst they can do is say, "No."

I would search audible. com by the authors you have selected or amazon.com, using the same technique. Chances are if it’s available in one format, it’s available in another that is compatible with your system. But even if you need to pay overdue fines, you’re probably going to be ahead over buying them. You may also be able to buy used ones through eBay. You can also sell your own books on disk there when you are finished with them. There are also rental services on the Internet. The advantage is that if you’re willing to pay a modest amount, you can get a much larger variety. No, I don’t have any sources, but if you Google it, you can likely find a bunch of places.

Also, please keep in mind that you may be willing to hear something that your mother would pick that you wouldn’t necessarily want to hear. My experience is that, particularly with non-fiction material, I will listen longer to some material than I would read if it was in print. Think of it as eating food that she would prefer; it is, after all, a matter of taste.

I use audible.com to download books onto my iPod. I have always been quite satisfied with their service, and they have a wide variety of titles. They are a subsidiary of Amazon. I have an adapter that will convert the MP3 player to a disk player. I got it at Radio Shack. No disks to shuffle, and it eliminates carrying stacks of disks with you.

So, like my dad wanted a harry potter audiobook so I downloaded one on Itunes. I think he wants it on CD to listen to in his car, but the thing is 21 hours long. How can I minimize the amount of CDs that I use? I’m pretty sure he wants it to work in a normal CD player such as throughout the house, in his car, etc. Can I fit the whole thing onto like 2 or 3 cds?

Convert the Audio content to MP3. This is a compressed audio format. This means that a lot of material can fit onto a CD or DVD.

It will also work nicely on a digital MP3 player.

Help me write an award winning essay on "The Digital Age Class Room"
Dear all,
I need your favor. Please help me write an essay on the digital age classroom. As we all know computers and technology can greatly increase the level of education! Please give me some points considering the following :

1)FORMAT

introduction
how can we implement computer in disseminating education.
hardware
importance in each subject
software
benefits to the school management
advantages
disadvantages and solution
conclusion

Here are few of the details :
solutions make it possible for you to realistically achieve your school’s vision for education, where students are more engaged, teachers are more interactive, administrators are more effective, technologists are more efficient, parents are more involved and communities are more aware. Technology was going to be the backbone of the new school, so it was essential that we partner with a technology corporation that had the understanding, knowledge, skill and service model to help us make our plan a reality.
The idea behind the Dell Connected Classroom is simple: through its ability to stimulate learning on multiple levels, technology can enhance the classroom experience for both teachers and students. And if we can inspire students to utilise technology to learn inside the classroom, we might be able to inspire them to use it for learning throughout their lives. By working closely with educators and partners, Dell has designed technology solutions that help propel students, teachers and schools to a higher level of performance.
Equip teachers and students of all ages with technology designed just for them.

The Latitude™ 2100 Net-book, is designed to meet the technology needs of students, and is suitable for any classroom environment.

Ideal for teachers, the Latitude™ XT2 Tablet is an ultra-portable, high-performance device. With a Multi tech screen and pen, it allows for greater teacher-student interaction.
Using multimedia technology to provide visual, auditory and kinesthetic experiences, you can significantly increase your student’s understanding and retention of lessons.

Interactive whiteboards, projectors, and audio systems help teachers differentiate instructions for multiple learning styles, individualise lessons for each student’s needs, and encourage students to collaborate and communicate their ideas through technology.
Extend the classroom beyond its four walls. From any device, Dell can assist in providing anytime, anywhere access to rich content so students can commute from classroom to kitchen table.
Thanks to this seamless integration of technology into the classroom, students can now learn in ways that most interest them, giving them a vested interest in their learning experience. They are empowered to express themselves creatively and share their learning. And they have greater opportunities to explore the world around them, extending learning within and beyond the traditional classroom walls.

Hello, I am a Christian, non-denominational, and I have a grandfather who has lost 98% of his vision. He can no longer read God’s word, and has made him very saddened, although he has many many verses memorized, and others read to him often, he asked me if they made an audio Bible with voice command. I know they make an Audio Bible, thats not what im looking for, what im looking for, is an audio bible that is not software, but is a book to which he can say Genesis 3:14, and it would then quote said Scripture. Through the few hours ive spent looking for this, ive found one, but it was software for the palm pilot. My grandfather is an elderly gentleman, and does not fool with technology one bit. Thank you so much for your help, and may God Bless you and your family.

I searched some and didn’t come across something like you have in mind. But I did find a couple of interesting alternatives you may want to consider
At booksaloud.org they mail you a tape (or cd, not sure?) that is on loan for one month for free. It looks like most of the tapes are broken up into small sections of the Bible.
Also, at www.talkingbibles.org you may want to check out…
But my favorite one I found was http://www.talking-bible.net/ and it is a small handheld device that you can use to skip forward and backwards through the Bible. It looked really easy to use.
Good luck!

I’m reading the book Christine by Stephen King to my class. Where can I find a free audio or narrator for the book or mp3 download to read the book aloud? Please, it would really help me catch up on my work.

Maybe you should get the book on CD form your local library and next time consider a podiobooks.com book maybe something By Scott Sigler
