Best Audio Books

I had a tough time finding these audio books on CD. Has anyone found them anywhere? Books 1,2 &3 unabridged is what I’m after.
Yes, that is where I picked them up for $50 per audio book for my wife. Each book is 8 cd’s. When I got them, they came looking like someone made them in their home. Literally bootleg type quality. The CD’s do not have the proper ID3 tags so it gets confusing with all the CD’s while you are listening.

Not complaining, but was surprised to see a best selling book that had nicely presented audio books on tape, would resort to sort of non-asuming, and rather cheaply done materials.

Other than that, the set is perfect, with all the material there, ready to rip onto my ipod.

I just want to know if i’m not the only completely crazy one I listen to the audio books before I go to bed so I think I have probly listened to each one 10-20+ times now.
Also, which is your favorite. I think they all have their strong points, I like order of the phoenix a lot. I wish the 7th would have taken place at Hogwarts, I was supremely disappointed when it wasn’t, but it still turned out good.

If it is of use for you, or your spouse, or child, get it. Estimate it to be 4 or more years old. Good starter for someone and cheap.

My wife had a children’s book when she was a kid (early ’80’s) that came with an audio tape where an alien named Frumph (not sure if that is even the right spelling) came to Earth and helped Santa deliver presents. I have never heard of this book, and I have searched the net and cannot find this thing anywhere. Any help obtaining a copy would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I am a teacher who has an ongoing need for audio books on CD. Are there any libraries in LA (especially Hollywood) that have a wide selection of CD audio books available to lend?

If you go to the Los Angeles Public LIbrary online catalog and search for books limiting your format to CD you will find a lot.

It is a little misleading because they should have a choice to limit your format to "CD BOOKS" but they don’t use that term..

I’m trying to acquire some training tools for my newer sales reps. I’d like to focus on solution selling for value vs. price, and also on building confidence.

May I strongly suggest you do not use these tools? As someone with experience I can tell you these tools are a way for the provider/author to make money. Your reps, however, will not learn. Some will resent it, others will be happy just not to be working/at their job.

The best training is always having them practice their art, monitoring them and providing peer/supervisor feedback and creating a positive environment where the reps are happy and therefore motivated.

You should advertise on free sites like youtube and metacafe,this way millions of people can see your videos and it doesn’t cost you anything. Although it may not attract your target audience.

okay. so my teacher gave us a summer reading project for college prep next year. she gave us the unabridged book of dracula (bram stoker) but i bought the abridged audio book of it. we are supposed to have a test on the first day of school on the book. if i listened to the abridged version is there a possibility my grade will be lower than reading the unabridged version? are the 2 really that different?

There is a large possibility, yes.

The abridged version of Dracula is so much shorter than the unabridged. You might miss key details that the quiz will ask about.
