The Creative Zen V or Zen V Plus will work with both. I have one. Unfortunately the display is fragile. I have had to replace my unit after I dropped it.
I also think the Sandisk Sansa View will work with these formats. I have not verified this, but Audible supports it, and it claims to be Play For Sure compatible.
i want some audiobooks that i can download but u have to pay for most and none are free.i really need free audiobooks that are sutiable for teens,
thanku and PLEASE HELP.
The person who recommended bittorrent neglected to inform you that it is illegal to get books that way.
You cannot get audiobooks for free legally.
Here’s a couple options: Check out your local library, they probably have an audiobook section. OR see if your library is subscribed to an internet audiobook site. My library is a member of a site that allows anyone with a library card to sign in and get audiobooks.
I’ve put a few audio books together and I want to see if I can sell them online.
I’ve made a webs.com website for it but I don’t know how to give the people who buy them a download link.
| don’t know of anywhere I can upload them to safely.
The biggest one is about 1 GB.
thanks!
Forget eBay and forget free webpages. Sorry but it will cost you if you want to sell something online.
Not much mind you, but it will cost you something because you have to load the files to a host and have a payment processor.
I recommend using clickbank.com for this.
You will need to register a domain that is relevant to the topic.
You will need to have a hosting account. I recommend hostgator.com or bluehost.com as they are friendly and professionally helpful with cPanels that are again useful.
You will need to create a sales page that has a shopping cart that links back to clickbank.
You will need to advertise that the site is selling this product.
If you are low on cash, there is always article marketing, blogging and social site advertising for free.
With those you need to create an account at all of the following:
ezinearticles.com
blogger.com
squidoo.com
facebook.com
Once you register with them, you need to create free content that gives some of your best stuff away but leaves some to keep people wanting more.
On the social sites, offer help to others first before you go advertising that you have something you want them to consider buying. Then put up some stuff like "hey, I put up a post on my blog about XYZ, come see". Then on the blog you have some good information and a link to the sales page.
One the other sites you want to just give away your best stuff and have a link directly to the sales page.
Lastly, if you have money you can skip the hard work of the above and just use pay per click on Google. You will need to set up an accoutn for adword and put an ad up there directly to your sales page.
This is grossly simplified, but in essence what needs be done.
I downloaded an audio book via iTunes for my iPod. When I play it on my iPod, I am able to scroll from track to track no problem, but can’t do that on iTunes on my mac. The funny thing is, at the top on the display it does actually say what chapter is currently playing, while not displaying a track list and when I press the track forward button it simply stops.
Anyway of adjusting it some how?
Why dont you try a new music player with extended fuctionality
For the past few days i have been searching the net to find a free audio book for looking for alaska. I have searched everywhere but i cant find any free ones. If anyone knows where I can download it from PLEASE answer and send me the link.
Thanks,

John Green is not giving away his book for free. He is also not giving away is audio book for free.
That is his right. He writes books to make a living. Respect that.
I am wanting a good recomendation for a new fantasy series I can start that is available in audiobook format. It also needs to be available unabridged.
What is the Title, Author, and Why do you like it?
It needs to come in either CD or Cassette only (sorry no downloads).
Garth Nix’s Abhorsen series, first book is "Sabriel." It is a great fantasy series, a little creepy, and read by Tim Curry.
Any of Tamora Pierce’s work is very good. She’s got two main series, and then sub series within one of them. I’d highly recommend any of the audio books, as they are done by Full Cast Audio, a great company.
Full Cast Audio also did the His Dark Materials series, by Philip Pullman. The first one, "The Golden Compass," is coming out as a movie this winter.
And of course, there’s the Harry Potter books.
I’ve read the following books and loved them:
Cell – Stephen King
World War Z – Max Brooks
The Roam – Cormac McCarthy
I prefer the narrative of Cell to the interview format of WWZ. Can anyone make any recommendations on which books I should go to next? In particular I would like it if they are available on Audio CD, but I read paper novels too.
Yes, I too like the good ole vampire novels. I don’t mine vampire hero’s. I really liked "Interview with a Vampire." But I like the Vampire Villians, like "Salem’s Lot" and "Dracula"
But I like Zombie Apocalypse best.
One Second After by William Forstchen – apocalyptic.
I Am Legend by Richard Matheson – zombie/vampire
The Strain by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan – zombie/vampire
The Stand by Stephen King – apocalyptic.
Just finished The Strain, and it was great. Don’t let the vampires turn you off. This book rescues the vampire from his new sparkly persona and returns him to the monster he was meant to be.
It goes Chapter one, then when it gets to the next chapter goes Chapter 2, it announces the chapters. At least thats what it does on my ipod o.o
I am legally blind, but I can still read large print. I already get braille, large print, and audio books from my state library for the blind, but some books I can only get through Bookshare (a service for the blind and learning disabled that produces books in .xml and .html formats from scanned books). I hate reading books from Gutenberg and Bookshare on my desktop, and my laptop doesn’t have that great of a battery life, so I am wondering if the Sony Reader might be a good portable option for me. I can read print that is at least 14 point, but prefer 16 or 18 if possible. How large is the large font size? Are there any add-on programs or hacks that can increase the font size beyond what the machine ships with? Is the digital paper display comfortable to read for long periods?
I have a sony reader and not only is it comfortable but also its zoom function is able to make huge sized font (20 or more) if the book is from a pdf format but with the ones you have I am unsure.
