Best Audio Books

I just purchased a new mp3 player and I love reading, and using audio books. Does anyone know a program where I can download audio books by popular authors for free? I’d appreciate any help, thank you very much!! )

utorrent will do what you need — allow you to download audiobooks and a lot of other things. Do some reading on how torrrents work before trying to use it, though. For particular torrents, try www.mininova.org or www.piratebay.org.

Limewire will too, but it’s not as good — a lot of viruses there, or so I here.

You can also download lots of files via rapidshare and other file sharing sites on the internet. Join www.warez-bb-org to get access to links to particular titles; it’s free and easy.

For many file downloads, you’ll need to know how to deal with rar files. Download and use winrar to decompress these files.

I know its illegal and everything but I cant buy it on Amazon cuz my mom wont let me cuz it is expensive and i live in the Philippines so the shipping costs alot. I cant download torrents and limewire cause my laptop has no space for it. Where can I download the audio book directly so I can save it to my StoreJet (its 20 GB, i think thats enough space?)

i am not sure, but you can try on www.esnips.com. here you will find some good audio and video for downloading and its free, for downloading they might ask you to have the a/c ..and also they provide 5GB of space absolutely free..

Stand By Me is my favorite movie and I want to read the book it was based off of, but all i can find is the audio book version.

The body is actually a novella and you can find it in King’s collection called Different Seasons which is a collection of four novellas that correspond to the title four seasons hence four different novellas.

I heard that they did. Or you have to condition yourself to fall asleep to them.
but i’ve also heard that they can weave into your dreams once you fall asleep, and right now my only audio book is one of Stephen Kings novels.. not a good idea haha.
I have a problem falling asleep, not too serious to be called insomnia but enough to make me sleep and dead the next day and crash in the afternoon, i’ve tried quite a few techniques but hardly any seem to work.

I have rediscovered guided meditations, relaxation, self hypnosis with NLP (Nuerolinguistic programming). I have just used a meditation CD designed to stop smoking and I am 4 days "clean" and have had very few cravings.
I have just bought another meditation CD from this ebay store and they have one for chatty minds that need sleep (also available in MP3 format for instant download for Australian$15)
I Love love love the concept of NLP and guided meditations and just chilling out in general.

Oh exercise might also be worth a try – 30 min walk a day should help you nod off at night.

I’m not even sure whether I should get a digital dictaphone or a microphone straight onto the pc. I want something good quality as long as it’s value for money.
