I have been trying to find Stephen King Audio Books with no luck, If anyone can find any let me know.Thanks.

You can get free audio books from YAKiToMe! They have a large public library of free audio books and news feeds. You can also make your own by turning any electronic text into an audio book podcast. It reads in multiple languages, with male and female readers, and at any speed suits you. Check it out.

As for Stephen King books, YAK won’t have that in the public library because they are under copyright protection. The same applies to the text of the book. Hypothetically speaking, if you could get the text, YAK would read it to you.

I’m looking for the audio book Gulliver’s Travels by Johnathan Swift. If anyone knows a website where I can find that, it would be very helpful. Also, if you have ever read the book could you leave your opinions on it please? Thanks!

For £4.70 it is available here:

http://www.s3books.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=132

It has the choice of British male, American male or female voices.

If you are American, £4.70 is about nine and a half dollars.

http://www.tantor.com/BookDetail.asp?Product=0272_GulliversTravels

has it for close to $20, and Amazon.com sells an audio cassette copy for $6.95 or they have some used copies for as low as 27 cents according to:

http://www.amazon.com/Gullivers-Travels-Cassette-Hr/dp/1570424942

or in MP3 version: Gulliver’s Travels (Unabridged Classics) by Jonathan Swift and David Case (MP3 CD – Oct 1, 2006) – Audiobook

Looking for ‘Netflix’ type online site, to rent books on CD, MP3, or playaway.

Most public libraries have collections of audio books on tape, cd, etc. available for rent. Find specific titles at a library near you at http://www.worldcat.org. Or, check the catalog at your local library.

LibriVox is an organization that is working to create mp3 files of public domain books and short stories. Check it out at http://librivox.org.

Hope this helps.

I cannot seem to get my brand new Dell Studio 15 laptop with a Radeon Mobil 4570, to connect to my Broksonic 32” CCVG-3276 LCD TV properly. I have searched through to online support items without any success. Another problem I seem to be having is that the online support chat page does not want to load on my laptop. All other websites work fine, but after I fill out my info on the page before the chat I click start session, then the page comes up and after a few minutes tells me I have connection problems. Then I click diagnose connection problems and Windows tells me that there is no problem. This problem is secondary to me getting the connection from the laptop to the TV though.

I know that the HDMI cable is good, because it is the same cable that we use from the cable box to the TV. I am also using the same input from the laptop to the TV as we do with the cable box. So, I know I have the TV on the correct input. I also know that the input on the TV works fine as well, because when connected to the cable box the picture comes up fine.

I know that I have the latest drivers for the Radeon Mobil 4570. I downloaded them directly from the ATI website just to be sure. I think that it was supposed to have been preloaded on the laptop, but when the trouble started I downloaded and installed them.

I know that the laptop recognizes the TV when the HDMI cable is connected, because it comes up as “ORION” along with the laptop monitor in the devices menu of the catalyst control center. I have it set to duel display, so that both the laptop and TV should have the same screen. Also, I know that the “ORION” device is the TV, because when I disconnect the HDMI cable from the laptop it disappears.

I also know that the TV recognized the signal from the laptop, because whenever I restart the computer the screen that has the Dell symbol as well as the load bar at the bottom when it just starts to boot up shows on both the TV screen and the laptop screen. However, as soon as the windows screen starts to load the TV goes black, and the laptop continues to have picture and load like usual.

This television has been hooked to a laptop before. My girlfriend has a Mac book that she connects to the TV on a regular basis.

I’ve copied the specifications for both the TV and the laptop below; you will also find my dell customer (108987651)and purchase numbers (2001646186425)as well.
The service tag (4TCSKL1) is at the top of the laptop specification. If you could please offer some advice I would be very appreciative.

Best Regards,

If you couldn’t find it on Dell site easy, you could try a program I use. It automatically updates your drivers, saves me a lot of time and frustration. Take a look here for those drivers.

I would like to listen to the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series by J.R. Ward, the Vampire Kisses books, and The Vampire Diaries Series but I can not find a site that has these books on audio. Can someone please help? The site would have to be free and when I say free I mean free. No hidden fees of any kind. If you could help that would be great.

Thanks

Those books are under copyright so you will not be able to legally listen to them for free. If any of these were online, they would be stolen property and I do mean stolen!

You can check your public library and see if they bought the audio books. You can check them out for free.

It is unfair to take an author’s books and put them online for free. That deprives the author of his livelihood. Stealing an audio book would also be depriving the actor who reads the book and the sound engineers their livelihood.

"In a civil suit, an infringer may be liable for a copyright owner’s actual damages plus any profits made from the infringement. Alternatively, the copyright owner may avoid proving actual damage by electing a statutory damage recovery of up to $30,000 or, where the court determines that the infringement occurred willfully, up to $150,000. The actual amount will be based upon what the court in its discretion considers just. (17 U.S.C. 504)

Violation of copyright law is also considered a federal crime when done willfully with an intent to profit. Criminal penalties include up to ten years imprisonment depending on the nature of the violation. (No Electronic Theft Act, 18 U.S.C. 2319)"

i like audio books and stphen king please help i cant drive so i cant go to the lmc

Stephen King is not giving his books or audio books away for free. Any copies online are therefore stolen property.

The thief who stolen them, can earn jail time and fines of $150,000 per book.

*Speak Japanese (Book 1): A Textbook For Young Students
*Japanese Step by Step : An Innovative Approach to Speaking and Reading Japanese
*Japanese Made Easy: Revised Edition
*Let’s Learn Hiragana: First Book of Basic Japanese Writing (Kodansha’s Children’s Classics
*Guide to Reading & Writing Japanese: Third Edition
*Read and Speak Japanese for Beginners
*Japanese for Dummies AUDIO+CD (

if none of these are good do have any suggestions i am a begginer and speak english also any good work books and where i can find the books and workbooks and about how much any of ur suggestions cost

Most japanese students always recommend Genki textbooks. They don’t have it in stock at amazon, but you can buy it from jbox.com.

Also another good book is "Japanese for Busy People *kana version" (In my opinion). It even includes an audio CD ^^

*The books I mentioned are written in kana, so to understand them you should first learn the 2 kana alphabets (hiragana & katakana) they are not hard to learn, you just need the 3 D’s desire, dedication & determination. It normally takes about a week or less (if you work hard)

My advice is to stay AWAY from books written in romaji (unless you only want to speak and not write japanese) because they just make you believe that you’re learning the language while you’re only learning half of it (spoken), then when you have a direct approach with the language you will end up feeling frustrated and that you have lost your time with romaji when you could’ve been a step closer starting off with kana.

So, that being said…

From those books you mentioned:
*Japanese Made Easy: I bought it when I started and later regretted it, it’s all in romaji.

*Japanese for Dummies Audio & CD is alright I guess, but the pamphlet that comes with the CD is in romaji, overall it is a good approach to spoken japanese (even though sometimes they pronounce things way too slow, as if you were retarded)

*Guide to reading and writing japanese: I love that book, BUT! It’s a kanji dictionary, you should try it when you’ve already mastered the kana and want to learn how to write kanji.

The other books, I woulnd’t know since I haven’t tried them.

Try getting a dictionary, like Random House Japanese-English English-Japanese Dictionary, they use romaji & kanji.

Good luck with your japanese learning, Hope this helps ^_^ ~~~!
